СКАЧАТЬ Old Dominion at War: Society, Politics and Warfare in Late Colonial Virginia БЕСПЛАТНО EPUB - DOC - DJVU - RTF - PDFОписание: This is a saluable study of the South in the Seven Years War, a story not often told.Titus focuses on VA and does so in a detailed, scholarly fashion. This was a dissertation directed by Richard Kohn of UNC. I highly recommend this work.
As Titus states in the preface, this book is about how Virginia developed military policy, marshaled resources, and fielded soldiers during the Seven Years War in North America. It is a combination of political and social history as Titus moves beyond the policies enacted by the Virginia Assembly, exploring the impact on society and the composition of the Virginia Regiment; the military force raised by Virginia to fight the French and Indians in the Ohio Valley. He also examines some of the campaigns waged between 1754 and 1763, but provides little analysis of the tactical elements.
